Ginger is a safe and effective herb that is often used to relieve nausea. Ginger has been used for centuries to cure or relieve many common illnesses. To relieve nausea at home, simply wash a small piece of ginger root. Grate the ginger and steep it in boiling water for 5 minutes. You may add a teaspoon of honey for taste if desired. Sip the tea throughout the day to prevent nausea. To prevent adverse effect on your blood clotting mechanism, do not use more than 3g of ginger in one day.

Nausea can be relieved by drinking peppermint tea. Make peppermint tea by using the fresh herb. Wash a small piece of peppermint and place it in a cup. Boil some water and pour it on the mint. Let it sit for 3-4 minutes. Sweeten with your choice of sweetener and sip throughout the day for quick nausea relief.

Home remedies along with some other tips can help to reduce nausea significantly. Slowly get out of bed in the mornings to avoid nausea. You may also keep a few crackers at your bedside and eat some before leaving the bed. During the day, try eating small portions of meal every 2-3 hours. Make sure that you stay away from food that are known to be spicy, as this will trigger nausea.
